PRE AND POST NATAL PILATES

Pre and Post-Natal Pilates at Soul Tribe Studio provides a space for women aiming to stay active during pregnancy or return to safe exercise post-partum. Offered by resident Physiotherapist, Joelle Karam, of Tidal Physiotherapy, you will participate in progressive core and total body strengthening using Pilates and Yoga principles to help you regain stability and strength in the muscles most affected by pregnancy

 

Who is this for?

If you are pregnant and looking to participate in safe, physiotherapy led activity to help maintain your fitness, core stability and strength

If you are at least 6 weeks post partum with clearance to begin exercise by your GP. We recommend you have a 6 week post partum review with a Women’s Health Physiotherapist to assess your pelvic floor using real time ultrasound. We recommend Amanda or Claire of Body Align Physiotherapy in Mollymook.

It is highly recommended you schedule an assessment with our physiotherapist prior to commencing classes to discuss your medical history and current functional capacity to ensure safe and effective participation in the classes. If you have had an assessment with our recommended practitioners, please let us know so we can discuss with them prior to your class participation.

Pilates with a Physiotherapist entitles you to claim your sessions under “Physiotherapy” with your private health fund*. Let us know and we will provide you with a receipt to submit to your health fund.

*If you are looking to use your private health fund You will be required to have reassessments by our physio every 3 months or when something changes, such as development of a new pain or injury.
